This delightful bow top caravan is really rather special, especially as it was hand made specifically for the fun of children. 
 
Hand crafted to a professional standard the caravan is built upon a standard trailer chassis. The underfloor is made from 18mm ply with yacht varnish finish for extra protection. The lower body is made from treated 150 x 50 mm pieces that have been trimmed to a curve. The lateral facades are then made of 50 x 50 mm pieces also trimmed to a curve . Outside a breathable membrane has been clad with treated tongued and grooved timber. The 50mm void was filled with celotex insulation then inside was clad with tongue and groove boards. Canvas sheeting was then fitted over the top and secured with aluminium straps. Both doors and window are hand made, and the whole caravan is hand painted.
